Abstract:
The Tevatron began accelerating protons for fixed target experiments in 1983. Since that time we have gained much experience operating a superconducting synchrotron and have also commissioned the Tevatron as a proton and antiproton collider. This has been an evolving process and even today, more than 20 years later, we continue to learn more about the Tevatron. In this talk I will share some of Fermilab's experience commissioning and operating the Tevatron over the past 20 years.
