Abstract:
This talk describes the status of implementation of the new collision optics at the Tevatron. The main aims of the optics change were: a) decreasing the beta* value from 35cm to 28cm; b) eliminating the difference between the B0 and D0 IPs; c) repairing the beta function beating in the arcs. The expected gain in peak luminosity is ~10%. End-of-store studies have shown good agreement between expected and measured optics parameters.
