Abstract:
The Booster Cogging system is an external module to the Booster LLRF that
provides cycle-to-cycle beam synchronization with the Main Injector. The
cogging system uses digital logic to modify the LLRF's radial feedback and
achieve longitudinal manipulation. The system uses signals from GMPS, MDAT,
TCLK, MI LLRF, and others; it controls the Booster LLRF, Notcher, and
extraction. Cogging has been operational for over one year in support of
NuMI and slip-stacking for antiproton production. This talk will discuss
the technical design, dependencies, operation, and performance of cogging.
