Abstract:
A possible location of one-stage and two-stage collimation systems in the Main Injector are presented. The one-stage system consists of one 1.5 m long collimator located at MI30 and a set of quadrupole correctors for dispersion bump production at the collimator. This system may be used for beam collimation at slip-stacking injection. The two-stage system consists of one primary and two secondary collimators both for horizontal and vertical plane. It is located at MI22 and MI30 sections of the Main Injector and may be used for beam collimation during the total cycle.
