Abstract:
Electron beam measurements were taken with a YAG detector and gated camera system at the exit of the cooling section in the Recycler. The goal of these measurements were to improved the electron beam quality by removing the quadrupole component visible on beam images taken at our nominal setting. This was achieved by finding the right combination of quadrupole settings that would make the beam image round at the YAG.
Details of the setup, method and results are presented.
