Abstract:
These slides were presented on the Recycler departmental meeting on April 30, 2008. The report discusses the present electron energy stability. After three Pelletron tank accesses in 2008 to address HV regulation – related issues, presently the energy stabilization system is in its best shape. The report looks at energy deviations in a wide range of frequencies, from many hours to 100 Hz, using signals from beam position monitors in high-dispersion locations. The most serious concern is slow, day – range energy variations. A plan to measure high-frequency components is proposed.
