Abstract:
Longitudinal Schottky data allows to find the beam phase space distribution for any given potential well. In general, this requires to solve a linear integral equation. This problem is analytically solved for a rectangular barrier bucket (trapezoidal potential well). The solution is applied for real Schottky data at Recycler. In particular, a portion of DC beam is found. The accuracy of the distribution tail calculation is limited by a deviation of the real RF from the model.
