Abstract:
Beam transfers between Main Injector and Recycler require the use of counter-wave to reduce orbit excursion of injected/extracted beam. Four counter-waves, i.e. two in Main Injector and two in Recycler, are currently being used. This document shows the expected beta function distortion due to feed-down effects of the counter-waves, as they all cross segment of machine with sextupole components.
