Abstract:
The BPM upgrade has to resolve positions for 2.5 MHz and 52.8 MHz bunch frequencies with a dynamic range from 5e12 injected particles per batch. Once injected the batches will be slip-stacked making the signal intensity 1e13 per batch. In the 2.5 Mhz case a single 4e12 52.809 Mhz batch is injected and then rebuched into 4 2.514 MHz bunches of 1e12 protons each.
