Abstract:
Till now, acceleration in crystals was suggested via either "resonant" Xray excitation (anomalous Bormann transmission) or by short Xray pulses. We consider yet another opportunity to excite wake-fields in crystals by short (shorter than plasma wavelength of some 100-300nm) bunches of charged particles - eg, by protons channeling between the crystal planes. Estimates show that one get get very high fields out of "realistic" (?) nan-bunches
