Abstract:

The purpose of this note is to describe progress on a prototype unit for a resonant charging and pulse sharpening system to be used in the
Main Injector proton injection kickers. The operating principle and the progress to date are described. The MKS-90 power supply has been
evaluated and probably can not be used due to the large physical inductance of the thyratron housing.
