1. Congratulations to Bruce Hanna and Martha on their wedding day! 2. Vladimir delivered the AAC recommendations to the Tevatron department, most noticable are to fix emittance blowup at injection and on ramp, find the source of coupling, build IPMs, consider TEL and wires for beam-beam compensation at 150 GeV, forget about 132 ns bunch spacing and recyclING. 3. Jerry informed that ground faulted dipole at C3 has been replaced, cooldown started and startup is expected to begin very late today. 4. Jim Crisp measured impedance of the spare F0 Lambertson and found it pretty small Z=<25 Ohm (Z/n<0.1 Ohm), and fraction of MOhm/m for Z_t. It less than for Booster dipole (Z=400Ohm) and comparable with a single TeV separator (Z/n<0.1 Ohm). Puzzles/Qs: a) Z/n is not symmetric wrt aperture center +1cm and -1cm are different by factor of 4; b) it's unclear should we believe Z_t -measurements at f<100Mhz (frequencies of interest); c) how to calibrate his technique against some known Z; d) we should measure Z/n and Z_t of the C0 lambertsons recently removed from the Tev. 5. Jim Volk described how he and Andrei Chupyra installed water level sensors on A16-3 and A16-4. Goal is to monitor the elevation difference and see how quickly will such probes die in the Tev rad-background. The first data indicate 1 micron 12-hour oscillations due to the Earth tides and 6 micron signal when smb(+vehicle?) was passing near by at 2:30pm yesterday. 6. Meiqin looked into how octupoles (proposed to stabilize head-tail instability) affect dynamic aperture=DA (actually, she foud that so called "stochastic boundary"=SB is a better figure of merit) and concluded that a) both OZF and OZD families should have positive currents; b) if the curents will be more than 1-2A in each, then reduction of the DA and SB is observed in simulations (for comparison, Peter and Jarry didi studies with upto 6 A in OZF/OZD). 7. Kip made quite entertaining presentation of the TEL work: a) the TEL now provides enough current for cleaning; b) discharge in HV modulator fixed; c) afterpulse has not been fixed; d) some beam measurements complete (microperveance) others (beam profile) to be completed soon.
