1. Dept news: Vladimir - Temple review next weeks, several of us will make short presentations, internal Alignment review to be chaired by Peter Garbincius early July, don't use lab cell phones for personal call >30 min; Jerry - Vahid Ranjbar will be next Tev coordinator for 1 month starting July 1. Thanks to XiaoLong Zhang for being efficient coordinator in June! 2. Store summary by XL Zhang: a) there were 6 stores with max lumi about 39e30; b) luminosity and N_p lifetimes are back to "good store" values - that might be in part because of hor chromaticity reduced by 3 units at 980 to LB; c) one store was lost at sequence 16 - big proton losses losses at B11, we smoothed orbits and restored C_h --> losses dropped from 40 R/s to some 20R/s; d) proton intensity is back above 8000e9 at LB; e) orbit bumps at E49, E48 , D42H and C49V suggested by Yuri helped to save protons at 150; f) pbar loss on ramp 6-10%, 5-8% in squeeze (7% and 4% for protons). Alvin reminded that SBDPIS, SPDAIS and SBDTWG are better channels than FBIPNG, FBIANG, and IBEAM. Jerry will make corresponding changes for the "comfort plots". 3. Andreas and Ralph have set new Schottky VSA in "waterfall" regime and acquired data on several ramps for protons and pbars, observed and fixed saturation of electronics. Too early to make conclusions but tune lines are seen (though not all the way on ramp), they are split (e.g. two peaks seen in proton vert channel approximately where Q_x and Q_y should be), is that (in)coherent motion? can chromaticity be extracted? 4. Vladimir summarized Valery lattice measurements at 150 (made 2 weeks ago, document available doc-696): a) vert B11 separator (about 20kV at 150 GeV) seems to be 15-20% stronger than we think it is; b) Valery proposed better set of currents in skew circuits to get the same min tune split; c) proton orbit is longer than central orbit by 0.61 mm, pbar shorter by 0.78mm, difference is 1.38 mm or some dE/E=8e-5 - that explains 0.5 ns RF phase oscillations of pbars at injection while protons do not oscillate. 5. No dedicated studies next week. Possible 4-6 hrs Tue-Wed for maintanance, we would like to parse thru seq 16, if not allowed - either D.Johnson to study emittance blowup at inj (P1 and A1); or center in S6 sextupoles; or try Valery's new skew correctors for better decoupling.
