Tevatron Flying wire transverse emittance OAC The OAC logs all of its devices in the Estats logger. It logs data each time the wires are flown and there is valid data (beam in the machine and valid data from the front-end). It also only logs data for wires which were flown, i.e. if the E17 wire is not flown, it will not log emittances or data for the E17 wire. The OAC checks the FBI to see which bunches are present in the Tev. Bunches failing the check are assigned a value of -2. Values computed by the OAC which would otherwise be reported as NaN are assigned a value of -1. All arrays, except as noted, are 37 elements with Element 0 = intensity weighted average of 36 bunches (SUM(variable[i]*t:fbiXng[i]))/(SUM(t:fbiXng[i])); x=A,P Element 1-36 = bunch by bunch 1. Dp/P as calculated from the SBD statistical RMS and the Mike Church(MDC) Formulas ( need reference for MDC formulas) T:AMOMSP(37) pbar copy of dp/p from SBD (T:SBDAMS) T:PMOMSP(37) p copy of dp/p from SBD (T:SBDPMS) (The momentum spread devices are an exception to the rule of element 0 being the intensity weighted mean. Element 0 here is some type of mean calculated by the SBD, but it is not calculated in the OAC. These are strictly a copy of the values used from the SBD by the OAC.) 2.
