Minutes of the Jan 25 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=1517 * Weekly Operation Summary (Dean Still) - The Tevatron delivered 35.5 pb^-1 this week with initial luminosities between 105 and 270 ub^-1/s for the 7 stores. The 4 stores with lower luminosity stores were hampered by the lack of proper electron cooling in the Recycler. All HEP stores were terminated intentionally, but shot 5863 ended with a quench prior to declaring HEP - the HA24 dipole corrector tripped off, causing the beam to drift into a collimator (investigation later found a failed butt-splice in the service building). Orbits have been smoothed, and losses through the squeeze are acceptable. During a 12-hr access for D0, the C17 separators were investigated in the tunnel - no problems were found with any of the plate connections. After that down period, multiple dipole corrector regulators required replacement. The B48V separator polarity switch breaker tripped during a shot-setup and required a local reset. The new studies request form (common to all machines) is now active. * Plan for Next Week - Deliver luminosity - E17 pinger timing (Dan & Bruce, 2 hr proton-only) (should be today) - Low-Beta Optics Measurements (Alex, 4 hr proton-only) - Make PBJ operational (Tan, Steimel, some no-beam time) - TEL-2 BBC (Seva, during HEP stores) - AC Dipole (Ryoichi/Andreas, proton-only)
