Minutes of the June 27 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=1899 * Weekly Operations Summary (Xiaolong Zhang) - The Tevatron set a new record for delivered luminosity in the official Monday-to-Monday reporting week = 56.6 pb^-1. Over the past 7 days, the Tevatron has delivered 53.6 pb^-1 to CDF and D0. There have been 8 stores with initial luminosities between 201 and 285 ub^-1/s. Only store 6241 was terminated unintentionally when a power supply for the C4 frig I/O crate failed and resulted in a quench @ C4. The past 3 stores have had higher than usual losses - probably caused by orbit drift that the in-store orbit smooth can not correct fully. The new 460 camac card firmware was tested successfully in VA47. The new BLM electronics were enabled in B-sector and E1. BPM network and CPU kernel upgrades were done in A1-A3. The mechanics of multi-bunch proton injections (2 bunches per shot) were tested successfully, however excessive DC beam likely caused aborts in the Tevatron. The B48 and C17 separator spark counters were repaired. Various LCW and cryo maintenance was performed. * FBI and SBD calibration (Tom Meyer) - Spurred by last week's discussion on FBI vs SBD pbar intensities, Tom investigated some more. He made a ~0.5% change to calibrate the FBI intensities. The SBD is not calibrated automatically every HEP store like we thought, but it seems OK to within +-1% when compared to the DCCT intensity measurement. The SBD is less sensitive to cogging changes and background, as expected and desired. It would be preferable for the SuperTable efficiency calculations be based on the SBD values - Vaia will verify which quantities are used. * Plan for Next Week (All) - Keep up the great machine performance. - Smooth orbits, especially at low-beta & collisions. - Investigate vertical pinger timing (Dan, Bruce - shot-setup) - P1 line matching (Alex, Jerry - proton only) - Bumper as Abort Gap Cleaner (Bruce, Steimel - proton only) - Chromaticity Tracker (Tan - proton only) - New BLM electronics (Dean, Marv - between stores) - TEL 2 parasitic studies (Seva, during HEP)
