Minutes of the April 3, 2009 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=2492 * (Bi)Weekly Operations Summary (Andreas Jansson) - The Tevatron delivered 243 pb^-1 total for the month of March and 120 pb^-1 over the past two weeks. There have been 20 stores with initial luminosities between 170 and 350 ub^-1/s. Two of stores were aborted prematurely (one after only 6 minutes) due to the QFA4 power supply tripping off; the supply still needs some work, but it has been behaving since those 2 trips. Shot 6933 was lost due to a quench @ E28 at 500 GeV; the cause has not been identified. There have been occasional trips of the D0Q5 circuit becuase one of the leads has been too cold; LHe flows and limits have been adjusted, but additional investigation needs to be done in the tunnel. The source of mysterious D0Q2 ground faults was finally identified and fixed - a trim cable in the tunnel that had some of its insulation worn away and touching a support. There has been plenty of cryo maintenance. The VA14 dipole regulator was replaced. The crystal collimator has been inserted partially (far from beam) during stores to study how the angle drifts from thermal heating and possibly by beam. The pbar injection kicker delayed one HEP shot setup when it tripped off and needed to be filled with SF6. Overall, running has been good - a reduction in proton emittances from Booster has allowed peak luminosities to inch up closer to our best performance. * Plan for Next Week - Deliver luminosity. Lots of it. - Tune up end of squeeze (Jerry, proton-only) - Electron Column (Alex and Alex, proton-only) - P1 line lattice measurements (Alex, Vladimir - proton-only) - Chromaticity Tracker (Tan, proton-only)
