Minutes of the Jan 15, 2010 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3006 * News (Ron) - Many good ideas were discussed at the Tevatron Accelerator Studies Workshop - thanks to all for their participation. * Weekly Operation Summary (Xiaolong Zhang) - The Tevatron delivered > 45 pb^-1 to the experiments over the past 7 days. There have been 8 HEP stores with initial luminosities between 156 and 295 ub^-1/s; no stores were lost prematurely. We have been experiencing higher than normal pbar losses at low-beta prior to initiating collisions. An apparent longstanding firmware bug in a set of CAMAC cards was causing several tune quadrupoles to ramp late at several points including initiate collisions; the effect was likely very small but the firmware was fixed to eliminate any confusion. RF station 4 suffered a few trips during the week related to water flow controls. There was a Tevatron access for various maintenance: adding additional turbo pumps to a known leak at A34, IPM cable swaps, HLS maintenance, crystal collimator work, clearing iceballs, examining power supply connectors. * Plan for Next Week (All) - Deliver luminosity. - T-980 crystal collimator (Dean, 2-3 hrs EOS) - Bumps at S4 Feeddown Elements (Ron, 1 hr EOS) - Bumper Magnet as gap Cleaner (Bruce, Elmie, 4 hrs proton-only) - TEL-2 gap cleaning (1 hr EOS)
