Minutes of the Feb 26, 2010 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3165 * News (Jerry Annala) - There is a new official rule prohibiting the use of cell phones while driving. This ban includes the use of hands free devices. The FESHM has been updated to regards to parking and moving violations on site. * Weekly Operations Summary (Dean Still) - During the week there were 10 HEP stores in the Tevatron with Initial Luminosity ranging from 175 to 315 ub-1/s. One store ended in an abort and all others were ended intentionally. 63.4 pb-1 were integrated during the week. Much progress has been made in reducing losses in the squeeze so that we are about to lift the limits on Pbar stash sizes for shots. The big improvement has been by doing vertical IP position bumps at various points in the squeeze. The result is consistent with scraping on the pipe where we know the pipe was misaligned near the downstream end of CDF. Transverse emittance growth of Pbars is still the biggest performance issue with the problem coming late in the squeeze or at collisions. On Thursday an access was necessary in order to fix a problem with the cabling to a dipole magnet heater in A3. We have also made changes to get synch lite data from the Pbar system earlier in the cycle. It looks like we can now meausure transverse beam sizes for Pbar bunches 1 and 7 before the end of the squeeze. * Discussion on Plan for Next Week (All) - Deliver luminosity. - TEL-2 abort gap cleaning test (EOS 1 hour) - T-980 end of store (2-4 hours) - 150 GeV chrom Study (2 hours-dedicated at 150 Gev, Tan) - TEL - (EOS, Valishev) - Pbar only store to document conditions.
