Minutes of the Apr 9, 2010 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3285 * Weekly Operations Summary (Jerry Annala) - The Tevatron delivered 66.9 pb^-1 to the experiments over the past 7 days. There have been 9 stores with initial luminosities between 319 and 360 ub^-1/s; all have been terminated intentionally. Readings from the D15 horz BPM were unknowingly erratic for several days and caused orbit smooths to generate a gradually changing orbit nearby; the resulting tune changes contributed to higher beam halo at the start of HEP stores. We had been making tune changes to correct the tunes without understanding the true source of the problem; it took a couple of stores to get orbit and tunes corrected after finding and fixing that BPM. The longitudinal pbar blow-ups continue to plague us. The HEP tune change mults were calibrated in an end-of-store study; 3/4 were fine, the proton horz needed adjustment. The halo rates are still a little high early in stores, difficult to tune; checking collimator alignment is an idea. * Investigating Higher-Order Mode Power in RF Cavities (John Reid) - postponed * Plan for Next Week - Deliver luminosity. - Accesses during Feeder 46a fault location/repair + cryo recovery (Tuesday) - TEL-2 abort gap cleaning test (Alex, Giulio - 1 hr EOS) - Crystal Collimator (Dean et al., 2-4 hrs EOS) - Aperture scans at B0/D0 (Bruce, Alex - proton only) - 150 GeV Chrom (Tan, proton-only) - Separator conditioning after Tuesday access?
