Minutes of the Sep 24 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3621 * Weekly Operations Summary (C.-Y. Tan) - The Tevatron delivered 55.4 pb^-1 to the experiments over the past 7 days. There have been 10 stores with initial luminosities in the range 262-303 ub^-1/s. One store was lost prematurely when a yard breaker opened to cut power from the RF power supply cooling water pumps. One shot was lost during the squeeze when high losses quenched the B0 low beta quaduropoles. We have been doing a lot of work to smooth orbits more reliably and tune-up the optics during the squeeze. Abort-gap cleaning with TEL-2 (and its new hollow e-beam gun) has been demonstrated successfully. Today is a maintenance day: access to fix/replace a couple cryo vacuum turbo pumps, mechanical work to repair C0 pond pump, electrical work to repair controller for pond pump supplying water to cryo compressors at D0. Problems with D1 BPM system lingering. * Plan for Next Week (All) - Luminosity - deliver it. - Longitudinal beam shaking (Tan, proton-only/shot-setup) - Orbit scan through separators (Alex, proton-only) - Crystal collimator (Dean, EOS)
