Minutes of the July 1, 2011 Tevatron Dept Meeting https://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=4581 * Weekly Operations Summary (Jerry Annala) - The Tevatron delivered 61 pb^-1 to the experiments over the past 7 days. The month of June was our second best month for delivered luminosity = 279 pb^-1, and we have now exceeded 2 fb^-1 for FY 2011. There have been 9 HEP stores with initial luminosities between 156 and 397 ub^-1/s. Store 8836 was lost when a bulk power supply tripped off due to low cooling water flow; it also appeared the LCW system was somehow contaminated and the resistivity dropped quite a bit before slowly recovering. Shot 8852 was lost as the final pbar bunches were being injected; the pbar injection kicker pre-fired into the already circulating beam, causing high losses which resulted in an abort. It seems there is a problem in the air compressor system for the kicker's spark gap; additional diagnostics are in place and the investigation continues. Only minor maintenance and tuning has been needed this week. Safety system tests for the Tevatron were completed, too. * Plan for Next Week (All) - Happy 4th of July! - Deliver luminosity. - Hollow electron beam (Valishev, Stancari - during HEP) - Proton Phase Shaking (Tan, during shot-setup) - Longitudinal Pbar Damper (Tan et al., proton-only)
