Abstract:
A summary of the ideas created in the Proton Driver #1 era for replacing the existing 201 MHz Linac with a store-bought 402 MHz Linac. The "Gold Plated" version presented here will also increase the brightness of the Linac beam by 2X (or maybe 4X), and the output energy would be 480 MeV, which should give a 25% improvment on the space-charge tune shif on injection into Booster. This talk was given to the "7835 Task Force" on April 21, 2005.
