Abstract:

With main emphasis on the XFEL's cold linac
a summary of the work done by the Accelerator
Consortium will be given. Final prototyping of
components and the preparation of large call
for tenders are the main issues in 2009.
The civil construction was started. Most of
the possible in-kind contributions are identified.
