An introduction about China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) and cyclotron development history at CIAE since 1958 will be given briefly, including 10 MeV, 14 MeV and 30 MeV compact proton cyclotrons. At present, a 100 MeV cyclotron is being constructed for the BRIF project to provide 50 kW proton beam for neutron and radioactive ion beam generation. The construction and installation of the machine will be focused in the talk. The talk will also cover a brief introduction to OPAL-CYC, a code developed by the cyclotron team at CIAE for beam dynamics study of DAEdALUS and CIAE’s 100 MeV / 800 MeV cyclotrons. The conceptual design of an 800 MeV, 4 MW proton cyclotron has already been carried out. The proposal of this high power project will be presented at the end.
