We have conducted ESME simulations of the longitudinal beam dynamics for the high intensity ($19) beam in the Booster from capture-to-extraction. This cycle is used operationally by the MI to deliver beam to the NuMI experiments. The simulations use measured beam energy spread at the injection, B:RFSUM for rf voltage curve and the injection details. We were able to reproduce almost all of the observed features of the experimental data including transition crossing, emittance growth and beam loss pattern. A slow beam loss observed on the ramp perhaps are not related to the longitudinal beam dynamics. We also show some preliminary results for the future improvements.
