Minutes of the May 15, 2009 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=2570 * News (Ron) - There will be an AD All-Hands Meeting next Wednesday in the Auditorium at 13:30. The status of the CATV system is being evaluated - send me your list of favorite channels needed for operations or ones you think can be eliminated. * Weekly Operations Summary (Bruce Hanna) - The Tevatron delivered 50 pb^-1 to the experiments this week. There have been 9 stores with initial luminosities between 180 and 324 ub^-1/s; all stores were teminated intentionally. However, two shots were lost during shot-setup. Shot 7029 was lost late in the squeeze - it appears there was an instability at flattop that blew up some proton bunches leading to higher losses in the squeeze. Shot 7049 was lost at the start of ramp when excessive DC beam fell out and quenched a well-known high-dispersion location. The timing/trigger problem with the automated coupling correction program was identified and fixed. Shunt modules in two main bus power supplies were repaired. A failed turbo pump at F27 was replaced. The D1 BPMs have had occasional problems - a bent connector pin was found and timing board will need to be replaced. There are still problems with main bus power leads in E3; that house may need to be warmed up for additional investigation or feedcan replacement. Minor tune-ups of the orbit and tunes in the squeeze were performed. * Reports from PAC (PAC Attendees) - Alex, Tan, and Valeri shared their impressions from last week's PAC 09 conference in Vancouver. > 1300 participants, 73 talks, > 1600 posters made for a very busy week - impossible to see everything, but plenty of interesting status reports and results. * Plan for Next Week (All) - Deliver luminosity. - P1 line lattice measurement (Alex et al., proton-only) - Measure coupling on ramp (proton-only) - TEL electron column (Alex and Alex, proton-only) - BPM recabling test? (Marv, Luciano, end of HEP) - Low-beta lattice measurement (Alex, proton-only) - Chromaticity tracker (Tan, proton-only)
