Minutes of the July 10, 2009 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=2674 * Shutdown Status (Jim Volk) - A3 certified after replacing A34 spool package. D3 leak-checking in progress. E3 being warmed up for replacement of E35 power feed can. Tevatron magnet unrolling ~50% complete. Leak of RF cavity 5 repaired; work on cavity 2 later. Horizontal crystal collimator (re)installed. Hydrostatic level system maintenance ongoing. Working on plans to realign low-beta quads at CDF and D0. * Pre-Shutdown Optics Measurements (Alex Valishev) - The low-beta lattice showed no significant changes since January - the beta* and dispersion* were as expected. A "dynamic aperture scan" was done at D0 at LBSEQ 23; varying the orbit vertically on the C4-side shows large non-linearity causing coupling. Although the observations are *qualitatively* consistent with an octupole component in the low-beta quads, more data is needed to understand. It may be possible to make measurements while "tickling" the suspected low-beta quadrupoles with a trim supply.
