Jansson, R. Kwarciany, T. Meyer, R. Moore, V. Papadimitriou, V. Shiltsev, D. Slimmer, D. Still, C. Y. Tan, M. Wendt, J. Zagel We discussed the following: -------------------------- 1) The specs/expectations for the Tevatron IPM a) The status of the Tevatron IPM b) Reaching operational status, maintenance, improvements for the Tevatron IPM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Conclusions/Action Items: 1) The Tevatron IPM is a multidivisional project and it is a complex system. Lots of effort and progress since 2005 to understand the system and make it operational. 2) The plan is to move the Tevatron IPM out of the "R&D" phase to an "operational" status within a month. 3) The main emphasis will be on turn-by-turn measurements of protons and pbars at injection and up the ramp. Will also work on pbar jacking at flattop. 4) In the next 2-3 weeks Andreas Jansson, Jerry Annala, Jim Zagel and Tom Meyer will take every opportunity at injections for stores to understand the remaining IPM problems and debug the system. They will have support on this effort from everybody in the IPM Team, the Tevatron System, the Run-Coordination Team and Operations. 5) When the IPM system becomes operational, the Instumentation Group will assume primary responsibility for the maintenance and improvements of the system and will request help from APC, PPD and CD as needed.
