Minutes of the May 14, 2010 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3358 * Weekly Operations Summary (Dean Still) - The Tevatron delivered 64.9 pb^-1 to the experiments over the past 7 days which included a 12 hr shutdown for collision hall and Tevatron accesses. There have been 9 HEP stores with initial luminosities between 293 and 400 ub^-1/s. Store 7802 ended with a quench at D34 after only 4 hours; the quench was not caused by beam loss, nor were there are obvious signs of cryo or vacuum problems - one of the weakest magnets in the ring is located in that half-cell. Store 7808 aborted during a thunderstorm after only 9 hours; a nearby lightning strike caused the bypass loop to dump the ramp. Pbar transverse emittances have been blowing-up a bit during the initiate collisions ramp, contributing to higher proton halo early in HEP; we've been doing orbit smooths and minor tuning to alleviate. * Plan for Next Week - Maximize integrated luminosity! - Test E17 pinger (Alex, Bruce - shot-setup) - Aperture scans at B0 (Bruce - proton-only) - Chromaticity Measurements (Tan - proton-only) - Check Tune Mult (Ron - end-of-HEP)
