Minutes of the May 28, 2010 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3381 * Weekly Operation Summary (Bruce Hanna) - The Tevatron delivered 95 pb^-1 over the past 2 weeks. There have been 16 HEP stores with initial luminosities between 187 and 376 ub^-1/s. Four stores were lost prematurely due to a variety of reasons. Four other shots were lost due to quenches in the squeeze (one had an dipole corrector trip off, 2 others had poor orbits through the IPs, another had very high proton losses exacerbated by 4 pbar bunches being injected into the wrong RF buckets). Pbar longitudinal blow-ups still occur, but we may have a lead into the problem - correlation with total RF voltage being lower since long shutdown? Various cryo maintenance was performed. An aperture scan of the CDF IP was completed - analysis underway. No tune or chromaticity trackers until 21 MHz signal repaired at A1. * Shutdown Planning (Jim Volk) - Jim summarized overall plan, including scheduled site-wide power outage schedule. Tevatron will kept a 4K except for houses needing work. Tunnel access begins July 19. Tevatron cold for start-up by August 13. Tevatron work includes warming up A3 to fix cold leak, maybe F1 as time allows. There are the usual magnet roll measurements, as-founds, and unrolling as needed. Reinstall vertical goniometer with new crystal collimators. TEL-2 gun replacement. E17 flying wire repair. Install beam profile pixel detectors at E0 and maybe F17. Tighten clamps on all kautzky valves. Other typical maintenance. * Plans for Next Week (All) - Get back to smooth operation and deliver luminosity. - Test new coupling measurement algorithm (Eliana, shot-setup or p-only) - Fix tune and chromaticity trackers
