Minutes of the June 18 Tevatron Dept Meeting http://indico.fnal.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=3438 * Weekly Operations Summary (Dean Still) - The Tevatron delivered 64 pb^-1 to the experiements over the past 7 days. There have been 10 HEP stores with initial luminosities between 245 and 348 ub^-1/s. Only store 7894 ended prematurely when a power glitch tripped off a pair of cryo compressors, and operators dumped the Tevatron ramp to prevent a quench. It was a smooth week with only an RF station spark and overhauling the E3 wet engine as notable issues. A special 3x3 study store for beam-beam compensation with TEL-2 was completed. * Low-Beta Lattice Measurement (Alex Valishev) - A routine lattice measurement was performed with usual orbit response matrix. The lattice is essentially unchanged compared to the previous measurement in January. The agreement in beta functions and dispersion around the ring is remarkable. * RF Phase-Shaking Experiment (C-Y Tan) - Using the chromaticity tracker phase modulation source at 87.47 Hz with 3 deg amplitude, Tan was able to create a "divot" in the longitudinal distribution of a coalesced proton bunch as expected by Alexey Burov. The oscillations did stop, but it's not clear if the phase shaking was the only reason (there was some beam loss). The existing longitudinal dampers are able to stop oscillations without changing the profile. Additional experiments are planned to test if the profile of "shaken" bunches allows a greater instability threshhold. * Plan for Next Week (All) - Deliver luminosity. - Pbar-only store for pre-shutdown documentation - RF Phase Shaking (Tan, during shot-setup) - 3x3 BBC (Alex, Giulio)
